À travers les portraits de la photographe Catherine Masson et de la musique de la pianiste Ana Cristina Couturier qui sort un album « Dialogue inattendu» entre son piano et les oiseaux. Ces deux passionnées nous racontent leur comportement, leurs différences de chants et la complicité que l’on peut établir avec ces jolis petits musiciens avant de nous offrir une improvisation superbe au piano. Ana Cristina D. Couturier graduates from the Faculty of Music of the Veracruz University, there she began a concertist carrer as a solist and as a chamber music player and she was chosen to perform as a soloist of the Chamber orchestra of the university festival « The musicien week 2001 » and of the Symphonic orchestra « Daniel Ayala ».

 

The « Albert ROUSSEL Foundation » granted her a scholarship to develop her piano studies at the École Normale de Musique de Paris « Alfred CORTOT » with the concertist André Gorog. Holder of the National program scholarship for academic excellence, she also gets the support of the Fondo Estatal para la Cultura y las Artes in the “Programa de Estímulos a la Creación Artística” (rubric Creators-Performers).

 

Winner of the Concours International de Piano d’Ile de France in 2004 (2nd prize), she gets a piano bachelors degree  by unanimous decision, the piano Teaching Diploma and the Chamber Music Diploma in the Nina Patarcec’s class at the de l’École Normale de Musique de Paris “A. CORTOT”.

                                                                                         

She received as well the advice of renowned concertists such as Jorge Federico OSORIO, Bernard FLAVIGNY, Bruno RIGUTTO, Michel BEROFF, Jacques ROUVIER y Guiglia KATSARAVA, Alessio BAX, Marie Françoise BUCQUET, Jorge CHAMINÉ and Christian IVALDI.

 

Her creativity leads her to conceive several interdisciplinairy projects ;  she works with the japanese violonist Makiko OTA and several musiciens from the ENMP « A. Cortot » to conceive the music and dance performance « Enlace Internacional de Talentos » in 2005. They performed at the Teatro Clavijero (Veracruz, Mexico) and at the 5th  government report of the mexican president Vicente FOX in the WTC of Veracruz city.

 

In 2010, she collaborates with the soprano singer Omo BELLO, the guitar player Javier SANTAELLA and the electroacoustic composer Roger COCHINI to create a concert-conference cycle about the  mexican music called « Colores musicales de México ». Started in Bourges city with the world’s première of the mexican comporser Edgar BARROSO’s work for piano and tape « En fa »  the performance will be given in Paris (Conservatoire “Charles Munch”, Théâtre du Garde-Chasse, Cité Internationale Universitaire) Mexico (Institut Supérieur de Musique ISMEV) de Veracruz, and Spain (Conservatoire de Malaga, Casa de la Cultura de Fuengirola). France will grant her the « Compétences et Talents »  special residence permit due to this project and her artistic carreer.

 

Ana Cristina develops her competences in sound creation at the Bourges Conservatory where she participates in the Roger COCHINI’s Atelier d’Arts Sonores;  she’s chosen to be part of the Thierry VAILLANT’s free improvisation classe and at the « C. MUNCH » Paris Conservatory and later on she received the  advice of the composer Esteban ZÚÑIGA. This studies will lead to a regular improvisation pratice in her dance accompaigning activity but also to create several dance music works, and recently, to the creation of the « Oiseaux » photographic exposition’s soundtrack and album for piano and tape.

 

Ana Cristina D. COUTURIER performs in Switzerland, Mexico and Japan. Her performances  in France gets the national media interest and she appears in the Jordi BATALLÉ’s Radio France Internationale program. She improvise in live at the Néo-planète channel, in the radio program of the Exposition-performance «Oiseaux» interviewed by Yolaine DE LA BIGNE. In Mexico, her concerts are broadcasted in the special Radio and Télévision programs at RTV Veracruz and Canal 22, the national broadcasting channel.

 

Holder of a DEA (masters degree) in Psychopédagogie (2013) from the Universidad Nacional de Educacion a Distancia (Madrid) with her memoire « The gifted children creativity developement », Ana Cristina gives creativity a main part in her profesion as a musicien, in piano teaching and in the instrument and choregraphic accompaining.

 

Currently she teaches in the Centre Culturel « Jean COCTEAU » (Paris) and she shares her teaching with both her composer and performer activity.
